“Born and raised for 18 years in Moldova, I changed universes when I moved to New York City in 2012. I'd never had a job, a real boyfriend, or cooked a meal before then. All I knew was how to write songs and pick up needed skills along the way. I was lucky enough to have supportive parents across the ocean, but even that couldn't prepare me for what I would live, achieve, and survive. My future was in my hands, as were my immigration status, financial position, and music ambitions. I had always wanted a different life and prayed for it, but this one, I almost didn't make it out of.

When I realized that the new generation of women fights the same struggles as my younger self, I put pen to paper, tears to creation, and wrote 18 with Apple Dreams for, ironically, exactly 18 months. Tomorrow's future is in the hands of today's women, and because of this, I am sharing things nobody enjoys talking about but that can make the difference between your dreams being attainable goals or nightmares you can't wake up from. Also, I'm pretty good at describing things I like, and there was a lot I liked in the Big Apple.
